He will chauffeur you along the Italian coast to Herculaneum, an ancient city destroyed in 79 A.D. due to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, and completely buried by lava and dirt. However, unlike its sister city Pompeii, Herculaneum is better preserved as many buildings and art works remained intact. As you explore the ruins – including its baths, library, Villa – you will have a chance to admire the intricate mosaics found within. Many of the precious vases and paintings found at this important archeological site are now on showcase at the Archeological Museum of Naples. To fully experience the site’s rich history, you may request to embark on a Guided Tour with an English Licensed Guide.
