Day One: Arrival at Rome-Assisi
Welcome to Rome! Meet your Private English Speaking Driver at your desired pick up location; he will be at your disposal for the duration of your Bocelli Week Tour.
In a comfortable and elegant Mercedes Benz vehicle, he will escort you to your first stop on your tour. Hometown of both Saint Francis and Saint Clare, the historic town of Assisi is first on your itinerary. You will explore the famous San Damiano church, Saint Francis Basilica, Church of S. Maria, and Saint Chiara’s Basilica.
On this first day tour, you will enjoy an exquisite four course lunch and taste authentic Italian flavors. Your English Speaking Driver will then accompany you to the Bocelli FarmHouse located in the Tuscan countryside. There, you’ll be greeted by a personal chef that will cook up an exquisite dinner to end your first day.
Day Two: Florence
On the second day of your Bocelli Week Tour you will be amazed by the beauty of Florence. You will visit the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, the Duomo, and the Baptistery of San Giovanni. You will be left awestruck as you visit the Opera del Duomo Museum which houses works of art by Andrea Pisano, Ghiberti, Michelangelo and Donatello. At the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino you will experience the beautiful world of Opera as you tour the theater. For lunch you will enjoy superb Florentine flavors as you dine at a restaurant in the heart of Florence. Afterwards you will visit the famous Uffizi Museum and the Accademia, home the original Statue of David by Michelangelo. At the end of this day tour, your English Speaking Driver will accompany you back to your Bocelli FarmHouse.
Day Three: Garfagnana and Lucca
The third day will be dedicated to the beautiful nature of Garfagnana, where you will visit the Ponte del Diavolo known for its eerie legend, and the Grotta del Vento, an underground cave with a crystal clear waterfall.
You will visit the Vagli di Sotto where you will witness an extraordinary panoramic view. Your English Speaking Driver will then accompany you to the wonderful city of Lucca, famous for being the town in which Dante Alighieri was sent in exile.
You will visit the panoramic Torre Guinigi and the gorgeous Botanical Garden, as well as the Roman Amphitheater. You will indulge in a wonderful lunch and dinner enjoying divine Tuscan flavors.
Day Four: San Gimignano and Siena
On the fourth day of your Bocelli Week Tour you will visit the ancient Tuscan village of San Gimignano filled with medieval history and culture. You will explore the town and see the Torre Grossa and the Cathedral as well as the Archeological Museum.
After an enticing lunch, your English Speaking Driver will accompany you to Siena to enjoy a relaxing walk in the historic center – home to the annual famous Palio di Siena. You will visit the gothic Cathedral, the Baptistery of Saint John and the Civic Museum before being chauffeured back to the Bocelli FarmHouse.
Day Five: Castagneto,Bolgheri
The following day will be filled with beauty as you visit the hometown of Maestro Andrea Bocelli, Lajatico.
You will also visit the ancient villages of Castagneto and Bolgheri. In Bolgheri you will witness the beauty of the magnificent town and its thousand year-old medieval castle. You will also indulge in wine tasting at a top cellar. Later on, the beautiful landscapes of Castagneto will take your breath away – from its views of the Tyrrhenian seas to the historic town centre.
Day Six: Bocelli Countryside Escape
The sixth day will be filled with authentic Tuscan flavors as you enjoy our Bocelli Countryside Escape Tour. Your English Speaking Driver will pick you up from your accommodation and lead you to Volterra, followed by a visit to the Teatro Del Silenzio, venue to Maestro Bocelli’s annual concert.
You will then continue your day with a guided tour of the Bocelli vineyards and cellars. At the Bocelli FarmHouse, you will indulge in wonderful flavors of wine on a private Wine Tasting Tour. The beauty of the Tuscan countryside will leave you awestruck, and the flavors of the new Bocelli Restaurant will leave your taste buds wanting more. Visit the Bocelli Museum nearby to discover all about the Italian tenor’s life and career.
After lunch, you will head to Pisa to witness the world renowned Leaning Tower and the Piazza dei Miracoli. You will then return to your accommodation, and will end your day with an exquisite dinner at a local Trattoria.
Day Seven: Chianti
Wine enthusiasts will love day eleven of their Bocelli Week Tour, as they taste the best of the Chianti region!
After a delicious breakfast with a view, you will once again be greeted by your English Speaking Driver which will chauffer you to the scenic wine region of Chianti. The first stop on the tour will be the medieval borgo of Montefioralle, where you will indulge in a fine wine tasting of a typical local Chianti wine.
Next, you will be accompanied to a farmhouse where you will enjoy a four course lunch alongside some sublime wine. While there, discover the traditions behind the unique wine production and visit the cellar.
In the afternoon, you will continue your tour of Chianti and Greve in Chianti before heading back to your accommodation in Lajatico. Take the evening to unwind before heading to yet another delectable dinner near your apartment.
Day Eight: Orvieto & Departure
On the final day of your Bocelli Week Tour, you will check out from the Bocelli FarmHouse accommodation to make your way to Rome.
Before returning to the eternal city, you will be stopping in the ancient town of Orvieto. Discover the town’s ancient history, magnificent architecture – including its Duomo – and the wonderful artisan shops. Once in the wondrous hilltown, you will also visit the Well of St. Patrick and enjoy a four course lunch at a delicious osteria.
You will then be chauffeured directly to Rome Fiumicino airport, where your Bocelli Week Tour will come to an end as you catch your departing flight.
