The charm of the town of Assisi will make you travel through time and rediscover the deep and meditative values of spirituality. Here with your Private Tour Guide you will learn more about the birthplace of Saint Francis and the Order of Franciscan Monks. Enjoy its lovely town center, that is pedestrian area-only and it is one of the best preserved medieval squares in Italy. Visit the Basilica di San Francesco and the Santa Chiara Church where from its façade you can take a look over the rest of the landscape surrounding Assisi. After the guided tour, relax and enjoy a lunch with a thousand flavors with typical local products such as homemade pasta, mushrooms, seasonal vegetables and ad hoc wines. Before returning to your accommodation, explore with your Tour Guide the little town of Spello! Walk along the streets of this small Medieval Town crystallized over time, and if you are lucky you can catch the right moment when the streets of Spello turn into a wonderful, spectacular, huge carpet of flowers: the Infiorata, a Flower Festival of Corpus Christi. Being guided by a truffle expert and accompanied by specifically trained dogs, you’ll learn how to find the truffles. After your adventures into the woods, you will come back to the Farmhouse where you will begin an exciting cooking class where you will learn how to prepare traditional Umbrian dishes using the truffle you found before. For lunch enjoy the meal you have cooked with the help of your Chef and taste some local wines during the experience. In the afternoon embark on a new adventure, visit an ancient Frantoio, take a stroll through the olive groves and taste true local Olio Extravergine di Oliva, a product of national pride in Italy. You will have the opportunity to visit a local Butcher Shop where you can taste some of the local specialties accompanied by the excellent wine of this corner of Italy. In the surrounding area the truffle is also very good, so much so that many local cheese factories create products with the flavor of the truffle and truffle itself; you will also taste cheese delicacies. While you are going to a local Agriturismo restaurant for lunch, your driver will take the road that leads to Castelluccio di Norcia, located in the Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini, famous for its large valleys full of spontaneous and colorful blooms during the spring and Summer Time.
