Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, where you will arrive on your own. Upon your arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a delicious dinner, in a restaurant just next to your hotel. On this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers and Great Italy Tour’s team who will greet you with a warm welcome! The evening will offer an introduction to the culinary delights of Italy while building anticipation for the upcoming visit in the Amalfi Coast! Preparing for a full day ahead, buonanotte!
On Day 2, check out and travel to Sorrento with a stop in Naples. Enjoy a delicious pizza lunch in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, followed by a 2-hour walking guided tour of the city. Explore historic landmarks, including Spaccanapoli and admire the Royal Palace, before continuing your journey to Sorrento. After checking into your hotel, end your day with a relaxing afternoon at your leisure and a welcome dinner in the stunning Amalfi Coast.
Buongiorno! Your Amalfi Coast Week Tour adventure begins in the picturesque Penisula Sorrentina. Today you’ll embark on a unique food tour, savoring local delicacies. The experience starts with a visit to a family-owned farm, where you’ll sample fresh mozzarella, olive oil, and other local products. Then continue in a lemon grove where you will sample limoncello and have a dleicious lunch. It’s the perfect introduction to the flavors of the Amalfi Coast. After lunch, head to Amalfi and enjoy a free visit. After a day of sightseeing, your bus driver & tour leader will take you back to your accommodation for a restful evening and dinner at leisure in Sorrento.
Today, you’ll explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii Scavii, frozen in time after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. This day takes you on a full-day excursion to the glamorous island of Capri, a true jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Known for its breathtaking natural beauty and sophisticated charm, Capri has captivated visitors for centuries. Your guided tour will unveil the island’s most iconic spots, including the stunning Faraglioni rock formations and the picturesque Piazzetta. On the way you will have one last glimpse of teh beauty of the Amalfi Coast with a visit at one of the most beautiful Royal Palaces: the Reggia di Caserta. Explore this mainsion and the beautiful gardens with a guided tour. Then enjoy a nice lunch in a restaurant nearby. After lunch, continue your way to Rome.
