Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, where you will arrive on your own. Upon your arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a delicious dinner, in a restaurant just next to your hotel. In this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers and Great Italy Tour’s team who will greet you with a warm welcome! The evening will offer an introduction to the culinary delights of Italy while building anticipation for the upcoming visit in the Southern Italy. Preparing for a full day ahead, buonanotte!
After breakfast, the tour departs from Rome en route to Puglia, with a stop for a lunch break before continuing your journey. Once lunch is concluded, the journey will continue. Once you arrive, you’ll settle into your 4* Hotel, it’s the perfect introduction to the beauty of this region. Buonanotte!
Buongiorno! After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your driver will pick you up with a mini bus and take you to a local masseria. The first authentic experience of this group tour will be a Cooking Class near Bari! Learn how to make pasta and then taste a delicious lunch with typical Puglia food.
Bari Vecchia Tour
After your tasty lunch, your driver will take you to Bari where you will do a guided walking tour in the “old town of Bari“. Visit the most important attractions like the Cathedral and walk in the picturesque narrow streets and you will fell like back in time. At the end of the tour you will enjoy a delicious dinner.
Buongiorno under the Puglia sun! After breakfast your group tour will continue in Polignano a Mare. Perched on a cliff where you can see the crystal clear sea from, enjoy a walking tour of the city. Then, it’s time to taste some Puglia food! Your driver will take you to a local restaurant for lunch.
Monopoli
After lunch, your Puglia Tour will proceed other an other little jewel of the territory: Monopoli. Here you will explore this small fishing village with a guided tour, before returning to your hotel in Bari. Enjoy dinner with the rest of your group. Buonanotte!
Your next destination for this Puglia Tour will be Alberobello village! Visit this city with a walking guided tour and discover the famous Alberobello Trulli, characteristic of this area. Then your driver will take you to a local masseria where you will enjoy a wine tasting and a relaxing lunch with many local flavors.
Ostuni
After lunch it’s time to discover Ostuni! You will discover the “White City” beauty walking among its white walls and typical streets with a guided tour. As an other day of your Puglia Tour comes to an end, your driver will take you back to Bari where you will have dinner. Buonanotte!
In the morning your driver will pick you up and take you to visit an Ancient Olive Grove where you will learn about the ancient olive trees taste some sample of olive oil. then, it’s time for a tasty lunch with local products. On the last day of your group tour your driver will take you to Matera for a full day guided tour! Matera is a city on a rocky outcrop in the region of Basilicata and it includes the Sassi area, a complex of cave dwellings carved into the mountainside. After visiting the center of the city, you will enjoy a tasty lunch.
Murgia Observatory Deck
In the afternoon, your driver will take you to the Murgia Belvedere, where you will city the city from the other side of the canyon. As your day tour comes to an end your driver will chauffeur you back to your hotel, where you will have your last dinner of this amazing Puglia Tour.
