Detailed Itinerary
Your Italian adventure begins in Rome, where you will arrive on your own. Upon your arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a dellicious dinner, in a restaurant just next to your hotel. In this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers and Great Italy Tour’s team who will greet you with a warm welcome! The evening will offer an introduction to the culinary delights of Italy while building anticipation for this amazing Venice Carnival tour!
After breakfast, with your bus depart from Rome to Venice, with a stop for a lunch break in Valdarno, a beautiful area near Florence known for its landscapes: the perfect place to enjoy a meal and stretch yourself before continuing your journey. After lunch, the journey continues to Venice.
Upon arriving in Venice, you’ll check into your hotel and have the rest of the evening to relax. Begins like that your Venice Carnival tour that will make you discover this unique popular tradition! Buonanotte!
Venice Carnival Tour
Buongiorno: after breakfast your will go to Venice and enjoy a Carnival themed day tour. With your guide you will learn about the most important traditions of this unique celebration and the most famous Italian Carnival. Venice lights up and changes its athmosphere during this time of the year and you are lucky to experience it!
Mask Making Class
After a delicious lunch, you will have the chance of making your own Carnival Mask in one of the oldest masks store of the city. First you will visit the store, then you will learn about the different Carnival masks, you will use all your creativity to make one for your self. What a great souvenir you will take home! At the end of this experience, it’s time to go back to your hotel and enjoy dinner in a nearby restaurant.
Verona Walking Tour
Your morning will be delighted by a Verona Walking Tour with a guide who will show you the city known arround the world for being the city of Romeo and Juliet. Live the romantic athmosphere and enter Juliet’s house. Afterwards, enjoy a tasty lunch and some moment at leisure in the afternoon. Then head back to your hotel to get ready for a special night.
Canal Cruise with Dinner on a Galleon
The highlight of your Venice Carnival group tour will be undoubtedly characterized by the evening Canal Cruise on an ancient Galleon, where you will taste a delicious dinner and enjoy the amazing view of Venice by night! Buongiorno for an other day of your Venice Carnival group tour! It’s time to get out of Venice and explore the countryside! Your first stop will be Soave: one of the most beautiful Medieval villages of the Veneto Region, immersed in an enchanting landscape and famous for a special local white wine. With your guide you will visit the Soave Castle on top of the hill. Then you will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Valpolicella Wine Tour
In the afternoon you will head to a a local Winery where you will enjoy a guided visit of the Winery and finish the visit with a delicious wine tasting of local wines. In fact the Valpolicella area is home to villages and towns where nationally and internationally renowned red wines have been produced for centuries. Then go back to your hotel for a dlicious dinner and Buonanotte!
Enjoy a morning tour of Venice. With your guide you will enter the St Mark Cathedral and the Doge’s Palace. After this morning filled with art and culture enjoy a delicious lunch in Venice.
Your Venice Carnival themed tour will continue in the afternoon with the visit of one of the most famous atelier which makes the typical Costumes for the Doge’s Ball: the most important event of the Venice Carnival. On your final day of your Venice Carnival Tour, you will do a trip to one of the hiddem gems of Veneto: Bassano del Grappa. This little borgo located in a valley will make you enjoy beautiful natural landscapes. Also known for the production of Grappa, this is why you will enjoy a visit the Museum of Grappa and taste this delicious and fine liqueur. At the end of this day, your Driver will chauffeur you back to Venice for your last evening and buonanotte.
