Upon arrival, you will have time to relax and settle in before joining the group for a welcome aperitif, followed by a delicious dinner. During this occasion, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers and taste authentic Sicilian cuisine — the perfect way to start your 8-day group tour of Sicily! Meet also your tour leader and bus driver, who will be there for you throughout the entire week.
After breakfast, set out on a guided walking tour of Catania, a UNESCO-listed city nestled at the foot of Mount Etna. Stroll through Piazza del Duomo, home to the iconic Fontana dell’Elefante, the symbol of the city. Explore the lively La Pescheria market, a feast for the senses with its fresh seafood and local specialties. Continue to Via Etna, the city’s main shopping street, before ending the tour with free time for lunch. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore or relax. Buonanotte!
Today, your Sicily Week Tour will take you to the ancient city of Syracuse, one of the most important Greek settlements in the Mediterranean. In Syracuse, you’ll explore the ancient Neapolis archaeological park, home to the ancient Greek Theatre. Then, visit Ortigia, Syracuse’s historic center, where you can admire its Baroque-style architecture and enter its Cathedral. At the end of this marvelous day, your bus will chauffeur you back to your hotel in Catania, in time for your group dinner!
Mount Etna Volcano Visit
No trip to Sicily is complete without a visit to Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. Your guide will take you through the panoramic routes, lava flows, and wild nature to the Etna countryside. Visit the Silvestri Craters, where you’ll have time to explore and capture amazing photos. Enjoy a stop at a local bar to taste honey and liqueurs. Next, head to a prestigious winery on Etna’s slopes for a wine tasting experience, sampling some of the finest local wines paired with traditional Sicilian delicacies. Afterward, return to your 4-star hotel for a relaxing dinner.
This day of your Sicily week Tour will begin with a guided tour of a picturesque town: Taormina, where you’ll savor specialties like pistachio pesto bruschetta, cannoli with pistachio and ricotta, pistachio ice cream, and more. These treats showcase the rich flavors of Sicilian pistachios, especially from the Bronte region. After the tasting, take a guided walk through the charming streets of Taormina. Admire the ancient Greek Theatre, Palazzo Corvaja, the Odeon, Santa Caterina Church, and Piazza del Duomo, all while enjoying stunning views of Mount Etna and the coast.
Exclusive Concert – One of the Sicily Week Tour Highlights!
In the afternoon, before dinner, indulge in a truly magical experience with an exclusive harp and voice concert set in an intimate, stunning location. As the soothing melodies fill the air, you’ll be treated to panoramic views from a beautiful rooftop terrace in Taormina, where the breathtaking landscapes of the coast and Mount Etna provide the perfect backdrop. This serene and elegant setting will make for an unforgettable moment, immersing you in the charm of Sicily. After this extraordinary experience, your group will be chauffeured back to your hotel in Catania, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s wonders. Buonanotte!
One of the most remarkable stops on the Sicily Week Tour is Agrigento and its awe-inspiring Valley of the Temples. Rich in archaeological wonders, the Valley of the Temples is a must-see for history lovers and a true highlight of the Sicily Week Tour. Before heading back to Catania, enjoy a delicious lunch in Agrigento.
After days of exploring Sicily’s rich history, today is dedicated to pure relaxation by the sea. Take this well-deserved break with a peaceful beach day in Giardini Naxos, a coastal gem near Taormina. In the morning, your private bus will drop you off in this picturesque destination where you’ll have the entire day to unwind by the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe, or explore charming local beach clubs ( entrance not included). In the afternoon, regroup for your scenic transfer back along the Ionian coastline, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Etna looming in the distance.
