Welcome to Tuscany! Your Bolgheri Food & Wine Shore Excursion will be an incredible highlight of your cruise experience. In a private Mercedes Benz Vehicle, your English-Speaking Driver will welcome you at La Spezia Port and take you to the medieval borgo of Bolgheri! A series of ancient churches, squares and boutiques, panoramic views full of cypresses alleys will contribute to create a suggestive and typical Tuscan landscape. Bolgheri is known for the absolute excellence of wine production in fact some of the greatest “Super Tuscan ” wines are made in the area. After strolling around Bolgheri Borgo, your next stop will be a local Winery where you can immerse yourself in the guided tour of the site and indulge in the finest local wines during your wine tasting. Then we will take you to an incredible Tuscan Restaurant where you will taste a 4-course menu accompanied by more Bolgheri wines. After your morning food and wine experience, you will be chauffeured to visit an ancient “Frantoio” (Olive Oil Mill) to discover more about the main element of Italian and Mediterranean culinary tradition – Olio Extravergine di Oliva! You will learn more about this extraordinary product on your Frantoio guided tour, followed by a special olive oil tasting and bruschetta tasting. As your Bolgheri Food & Wine Shore Excursion comes to a bittersweet end, you will be transferred back to the La Spezia Port.
